Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
Ketogenic nutrition therapy and multidisciplinary nutrition care in partnership with physicians, neurologists and clinical teams.
The practitioner
Food is biological. Eating is behavioral. A full life asks something of both.
Training & credentials
Evangeline Li works at the intersection of nutrition, behavior and mental wellbeing. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with graduate training in both human nutrition and clinical social work — an uncommon combination that lets her look past what someone eats and understand the patterns, pressures, environments and ambitions surrounding it.
Because most people do not need another list of things they should be doing. They need to understand why knowing and doing so often become two different things.
The premise
Most of us already know more than we use. We know we should eat differently. Sleep more. Move regularly. Slow down. Drink less. Manage stress. Put the phone away.
Information is rarely the entire problem. The more interesting question is what happens between knowing what you want and living in a way that gets you there.
That space is where Evangeline works. Her approach brings nutrition science together with behavioral insight to understand not simply what is happening, but what is driving it — appetite, stress, routine, reward, environment, pleasure, ambition, relationships, identity.
The goal is not perfection. It is greater awareness, better direction, and a life with more capacity for the things that matter.
Most people don’t need more information. They need a way to make what they know usable.
Training
Evangeline began in nutritional science at the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Master of Science in Human Nutrition. Her early career was deeply clinical.
At Children’s Hospital Los Angeles she helped direct the ketogenic diet program, counseling hundreds of pediatric patients alongside neurologists and interdisciplinary teams. Her clinical dietetics work has also included medical nutrition therapy across cardiovascular disease, renal disease, diabetes, maternal health and pediatrics.
But the longer she worked with people, the clearer something became: nutrition was rarely only about nutrition. There was always a person around the plate. A person under stress. A family system. A history. A schedule. A belief. A relationship. A coping mechanism. An ambition.
So she returned to graduate school at Columbia University to study clinical social work. Not to leave nutrition behind — to understand the other half of it. Her work in behavioral health has since included supervised clinical practice, crisis counseling, biopsychosocial assessment and evidence-informed approaches to behavior change.
VŌRARE grew from the belief that these disciplines are far more useful when they can speak to one another.

Who it is for
VŌRARE is built for people who want to understand themselves more completely.
Some arrive because something is not working. Their relationship with food feels complicated. Their energy is inconsistent. Stress is affecting how they eat. Their habits no longer match the life they are trying to build.
Others arrive because almost everything is working. They are successful, capable and highly functional — and curious about what one level higher might feel like. Better energy. More clarity. A healthier relationship with ambition. More pleasure without losing direction. Greater capacity for the life they have worked hard to create.
You do not have to be unwell to want to be better.
How it works
Evangeline sees clients privately throughout Los Angeles and by appointment at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
VŌRARE begins with The Nourish Index™ — a comprehensive, evolving understanding of the person behind the goals. Nutrition. Behavior. Mindfulness. Stress. Rhythm. Environment. Performance. Pleasure. Life.
From there, the work becomes personal. Because the right plan should not ask you to become someone else in order to follow it.
Scope
VŌRARE provides nutrition counseling, mindfulness, behavioral wellbeing and coaching services within Evangeline’s professional scope.
Psychotherapy and mental health treatment, when appropriate, are provided separately through an affiliated clinical practice under licensed clinical supervision, with separate consent, records and billing.
The experience can be connected. The professional responsibilities remain intentionally distinct.
